Zelda Oracle of Ages
The gameplay style of Oracle of Ages follows the very same setup as Link's Awakening and A Link to the Past. The main objective of Link's quest is to collect the eight Essences of Time in order to be able to foil Veran's plans. Each of the eight essences, in standard fare, is found in a long, complicated dungeon, full of locked doors, puzzles, a mini-boss, and, of course, a confrontation with the dungeon's final boss before you reach the essence. Each dungeon also includes a special item, which will help you finish the dungeon and aid you through the rest of your quest. Items, such as your sword and shield, are set to either the A or the B button. You set these items on your menu screen. This is the basic structure of the game, while Ages is far more complicated than Link's Awakening ever was.

IMPORTANT - Don't use VisualBoyDX to play Zelda Ages Seasons as you will not be able to save the game using emulators save option. Use REW or Dual.

Zelda Oracle of Seasons
Just as good as Zelda Oracle of Ages. Unlike Pokemon Gold-Silver oracle games have compleatly different story line. When you finish either game, you will receive a password to that, when typed into the other game, creates a continuous adventure. Not to spoil anything, the storyline goes much deeper than the two individual quests make you believe, and this addition to the story is hinted to while you play through the first game but is completely explored once you play the second after entering a password. Besides the very cool tying up of loose ends in the storyline, a linked game includes a new final boss and a ridiculously hard secret dungeon. Also, throughout the second game, you will run into characters that you met in the first game, not to mention people will refer to characters in the other land. And finally, many people in a linked game will give you passwords which you can take to other people in the first game you played to earn many secret items that you can then transfer to the second game. It sounds a bit confusing, but playing both games is definitely the best way to play.
